Perhaps more than ever before, it seems like everything runs on batteries. Lithium batteries, rechargeable batteries, even your EV or hybrid runs on a very expensive battery.

Cars need regular maintenance to keep them on the road and prevent expensive breakdowns but what if you could purchase a vehicle that didn’t need very much maintenance? Let’s talk about EVs, regular gas engine vehicles, and hybrids, so you can make a more informed decision before you buy.

So, you made the switch to an electric vehicle. Good for you! EVs are the car of the future, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see at least 60 percent of all vehicles on the road being electric within the next 10-15 years.

One of the big selling points of electric vehicles is that they require less maintenance than a typical gas engine. While the gas motor of a Hybrid vehicle does require about the same maintenance as a regular car, they have a few other needs.

Besides being environmentally friendly, one of the big selling points about an EV or Hybrid vehicle is that the maintenance costs are substantially less and are not needed as frequently. This is because an EV eliminates over 24 or so mechanical components that a conventional car uses.

You’ve probably seen hybrid vehicles everywhere you go. The Toyota Prius is probably the most well-known, but it seems like everyone is making a hybrid today, including Honda, Hyundai, Chevy, Ford, and Kia to name a few.
