THE BOCKMAN’S TRADITION

Serving DeKalb County for over 60 years!

The tradition of the Bockman family and auto care began with Charlie Bockman, father of our current owner, Jon Bockman. Charlie grew up in Odell, Illinois, a small village on Route 66 in Central Illinois. From there, Charlie moved to Peotone, Illinois, then DeKalb and, finally, Sycamore.

Many locals may remember Bockman’s East Side Standard in DeKalb, on the corner of Lincoln Highway in DeKalb, on the corner of Illinois Route 38 and 7th Street. That business was started in 1964, and, as time went by, the shop became Bockman’s Amoco then Bockman’s BP.

In 1999, we moved to Oakland Drive in Sycamore, greatly expanding our service area and capabilities. Since that time, we’ve expanded into the entire building that thousands of our DeKalb and Sycamore customer know now and have remodeled the waiting room to include comfortable chairs, updated restrooms, and free Wifi, coffee and refreshments.

We offer convenient pick up and drop off service and even a loaner car if you need to get around after dropping off your vehicle for service or repairs.

We were founded on values such as honesty, integrity, and professionalism. These values have been the cornerstones on which we have built our business and long-term relationships with our clients.

Our ASE certified technicians perform quality auto maintenance and repair services such as alignments, engine repairs, oil changes, and more. Our techs are continuously training to stay abreast of new technology in the industry and use the latest equipment and techniques.

As the NAPA 2019 Shop of the Year winner, we are proud to provide excellence in both customer service and automotive service. We’re NAPA Gold Certified, a member of the DeKalb County NAPA AutoCenters, and a 10 time winner of the Daily Chronicle’s Reader’s Choice Awards.

And when it comes to giving back to our community’s charities, Bockman’s Auto, Truck & Tire is a leader as well. Through our relationship with the NAPA AutoCare Centers, a portion of our oil changes each month goes to a different local need. We also work with our U.S. veterans each Veteran’s Day to make sure their needs are taken care of, all free of cost of course.
